Our 603rd production, we filmed a Bar-Mitzvah at Oheb Shalom in Baltimore, MD on Saturday, February 7th.
It was a truly fantastic event and much goes to the professionals that were hired for the evening. Unfortunately, I have no idea who the band/dj group was but they were one of the best I’ve worked with in the last fourteen years of being in this business. Six musicians, three background singers, two dancers, two MC’s, five primary dancers/singers….simply amazing, great energy, vocals were very much on key….incredible.
The Catering Company was Classic Catering . One of the key people in the business, Bobby Pressman, is a wonderful person and their team is not only incredibly efficient with their services but the food is really quite outstanding. I’ve worked events where they have been the caterers over several years and it’s always consistent. And, to that, I’ve also had the opportunity to have food from top chefs including Bobby Flay, Gordon Ramsey, Emeril Lagasse, Mario Batali, and so many more. I mention this because while there is quite a difference between these chefs and many others, the overall food presentation, taste quality, guest reactions to the food, and speed at which the food is prepared reminds me very much to what Classic Catering provides and their food is a great testament to this comparison. I’m hoping to have them cater an upcoming event of my own very soon.
What’s an event without a coordinator? Lynn and Sharon from Celebrations are wonderful people. I have known and worked with this Company for so long I cannot remember since when, but they are great at coordinating a wide variety of events and with consistent, top-notch success. Each time I film an event I hope that they are the coordinators simply because I know that the event will be a great time.
I’ll have some video clips of the event in the online gallery by the end of February / beginning of March.
