My Trip to Cap Cana; Part 2 – Filming the PGA Tour of Champions
Friday, April 17th, 2009I won’t get into all of the particulars as to how I got this job, but one day after I came home from filming for Villa Cielo, I got a call to come back down just a few days later to film with the PGA Tour of Champions.
I have never filmed so much during any given day, worked so hard in my life, nor walked so much in such a short period of time, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Sure, it was beyond exhausting and despite having eaten some of the most amazing food I have ever had, I actually lost weight! – - but given, too, that I walked a good 5-10 miles a day, sometimes more, it really is no surprise.
The event took place at Puntas Espadas in Cap Cana, a gorgeous golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. More info can be found at Cap Cana’s website.
While I didn’t film with the Golf Channel, of course, my purpose was to film the ‘behind the scenes’ and not only create daily trailers of the many events and festivities, but also a full-featured video that will be used as the premiere video for 2010’s promotion. No pressure, of course!
All in all, I wanted to state thanks to everyone involved and for those interested in seeing the videos, please send an email via the Main Website and completing the contact form. Once approved, the videos will also have their own tab in the online gallery, but for this, check back in a few weeks or so, approval dependent.
