We filmed Carly’s Bat-Mitzvah at Woodholme Country Club on Sunday. An evening party, the theme was ‘music’ and was done ever so tastefully. Each table was adorned by highly-detailed 4-6-foot center pieces, with miniature displays around each table, as well as the room. The lighting was done very well, too, which will easily be reflected in the final video. It was rather exhausting to film but it will be worth it once complete! Celebrations website is HERE. They are such wonderful people and their work is among the best I’ve ever seen in the last fourteen years. Give ‘em a call! The DJ Company was none other than New York Entertainment. Their mixing is absolutely perfect, their lighting is great, and their dancers are some of the best I’ve ever seen…and with Mitvahs, they’re really good at getting the guests – and keeping them – on the dance floor.

Rolling out our 633rd production, we recently had the unique opportunity of producing the video for the 20th Annual AAFAE Festival. It was one heck of a project in that we filmed for one solid day and turned the project around, in hand, in less than 24 hours. Typically, these projects take a few weeks, but that’s what you get with no sleep! The AAFAE stands for African-American Festival of Academic Excellence and their website is HERE

I had an amazing time at the US Capitol and The Willard Hotel on Tuesday, filming the Dedication of Sojourner Truth. She was the first black woman to be honored with a self-sculpture at the US Capitol. It was such an interesting story and the celebration was nothing short of phenomenal. Many well-known people were there to celebrate and talk about Sojourner Truth’s life, including Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and so many more. And, Mary Alice Young, the narrator for Desperate Housewives, was there, speaking as well – what a beautiful voice! Sure, it was last December, but we’re just about ready to put some new videos online and for Amy & Eric’s wedding last December, it is going to be a great new addition.
