As some of you know, my brother and his fiance were in town a few weeks back and I took some photos for their wedding invites. I designed the cards and sent them off to a printing press I’ve known for years, and I love having such good contacts in this business! The start of what’s to be a crazy 3-4 weeks, I’ll be traveling throughout the country to film various projects. From Chicago to Detroit and New Jersey to Kansas City – and a handful more – I’ll be all over the place! Perhaps on the good side I can get close to Southwest’s 16 points!

What a wonderful family! It was one of the more challenging weddings to film, but it really was a great wedding and everything came out really well! Filmed and soon-to-be produced in Blu-Ray, the best decision the family made was to have everyone not only get ready at the Rockville Hilton, but also have their ceremony and reception at the same place. By doing this, we were able to film more – and film better – as we didn’t have to worry about driving all over town! We have recently taken stock of a handful of new HD cameras, as well as a pair of photo cameras, most of which is geared towards our corporate productions. From a new slider system and 6′ jib extension (our jib now reaches 18′) to a wide assortment of lenses and special effect filters, we are able to make our productions even better! It’s amazing that I’m just a few projects short of 650. Kind of crazy, I think, but I think that it has a lot to say about business success! I’m on track to mark 700 somewhere towards the latter part of the year and for those that aren’t familiar with each 100th event, this time around will be $700 off to the 700th project/event as well as $700 credit for the 700th then-contracted client.
